Family Centered Programs
Having a child who is sick puts an incredible amount of stress on the entire family. Here at The Nebraska Medical Center we understand how hard it is to be away from home; from family, your hometown hospital, friends, church community, neighbors, and even family pets. We strive to help you feel at home and bring a piece of our community to you during your hospital stay.
We offer a variety of programs not only for our patients, but for families as well. We realize that families may not always have the time or the resources to access simple things like getting a haircut, relaxing, or taking time out to pamper themselves. With those things in mind, we encourage families to participate in a variety of programs.
Some of these monthly family programs include:
- Old Navy BINGO night
- Free haircuts for patients and families
- Free massages for parents
- Family Fun Nights that include holiday celebrations or get-togethers
- Art Nights
- Facials or pedicures
- Ceramics
- Scrap booking
- Family Movie nights
- Pet therapy
